Goldfinger’s Anthony Newley

Anthony Newley (songwriter) Newley, known for the stage hit “Stop the World – I Want To Get Off” and the 1967 film version of the children`s classic “Doctor Doolittle,” died Wednesday, April 14, 1999, in his southeast Florida home. He was 67. Newley also cowrote Goldfinger, and sang a demo version that was never used but can be found on the 30th Anniversary CD.
